I am not a meat eater, hate the taste! Always have! But I'm fine with my kids eating meat, I have nothing against it. However, I hated knowing that my dad was a hunter growing up. I was always sure that the deer he brought home was Bambi's mother... so here's the latest chat with our 4 year old...
O: Mom, where does steak come from? Does it grow?(my hub and I look at each other... I really don't want to discuss where meats come from)
me: Umm. no. It's meat, it comes from cows.
O: Like milk?
hubby: Well, not really it's...
Me:(interrupting) Yes. Like milk.
O: hmm. Well, I like steak.
Me: Good honey.
